  CAPTAIN CAM & CHEF /MATE JULIA

  Cam started sailing as a three-year-old tethered to a Hobie Cat with his grandfather sailing in his home state of New South Wales, Australia. Fast forward some years and when Cam wasn’t working for one of Australia’s largest real estate companies, you’d find him racing yachts on Sydney Harbour or delivering boats up and down Australia’s east coast.

  After a brief sabbatical in Croatia in 2022, Cam decided to trade his corporate desk for yacht decks and he hasn’t looked back since. He has since sailed in some of the world’s best sailing destinations including Croatia, Greece, and French Polynesia, but he is now happy to call the Virgin Islands home. He has spent the last two years in the BVI managing one of the Caribbean’s highest-rated sailing schools and he loves nothing more than sharing his passion for the ocean with everyone he meets. If guests want to learn a bit more about sailing, Cam is always happy to show them the ropes or get them behind the wheel.

  Coming across the seas from the inner city of Sydney, Australia – Julia grew up baking alongside her mother and grandmother learning the home classics and passed down family recipes. After a challenging few years working as a pediatric nurse during the global pandemic, she took the opportunity of the world opening back up to explore the world, tasting culinary delights in many parts of Asia and Europe before landing herself in Croatia as a chef onboard flotilla charter yachts for the European summer. This experience ignited a flame for Julia to chase her dream of working as a chef on the water full-time. Julia comes from a strong hospitality background working in several established venues in Sydney both behind the bar and in front of the house. She has completed several culinary courses with Le Cordon Bleu and the Australian Patisserie Academy and is so passionate about delivering delicious food and a unique hospitality experience.

  Outside of the galley, there is nothing more relaxing to Julia than perching in the sun with a good book or finding new walks along the coastlines around the world. Coming from a large family, bringing people together around a table to enjoy a meal and share stories is one of life’s greatest moments in her eyes and she cannot wait to welcome you onboard and share this with you all.

  We Cherish The Memories

  Where do I start? First of all, I wanted to say this to you all in person but my emotions were getting the best of me and I wanted to ensure that I could properly thank you for such an amazing trip. You know it is a good one when you are getting teary just leaving. The two of you made our week better than we could have imagined. We all had high expectations for the trip since it was one of the first times that we all traveled together and was a trip we had been planning for a while. You blew our expectations out of the water and it was beyond wonderful. I know that you both took a lot of time preparing for us and I can't say thank you enough.
  
  The itinerary you planned for us was perfect. Every place we went was wonderful and perfect for our group. We loved the islands, restaurants, and dinners you planned for us. You were always on top of every detail to make it a memorable trip always ensuring we were enjoying ourselves. You made everyone feel so comfortable, are a great leader, and have such a calm presence that makes everyone enjoy their time with you.
  
  Chef, you blew us away! Although we loved the restaurants, we all agreed that not much can compare to your cooking and baking. The hours that you and Umbi spent preparing multiple meals each day was not overlooked and we appreciate you accommodating everyone. We without a doubt were so lucky you could join us this week and I am not sure there is a better chef in the BVI. There is no doubt in my mind that you will achieve your dreams of having your own restaurant.
  
  Both of you made this experience so much fun! We are so glad you joined us for dinners, partying, and relaxing. Getting to know you this trip was a blast and we hope it is not the last. I am sure all of your guests offer for you to come visit, but I truly hope if you ever have the opportunity to come to Annapolis that you will visit us. Our door is always open to you both! I also hope that we can charter with you both again, whether it be in the BVI or Greece. We hope you will keep in touch. We obviously love you both since we were trying to get you both to come live with us in our community!🙂

  Best Trip Ever!

  I truly don't know where to begin to show our appreciation for this week. Absolutely everything exceeded any expectations we had going into this 40th b-day trip. It was fun, relaxing, and so incredibly memorable. We enjoyed your company and learning about the both of you. I have tried things food wise I would have never imagined I would have liked. You have a beautiful gift and I really hope we can stay in touch. You two make an incredible team and we will never forget this trip.   Impressed

  Super impressed with the special design of the Oceana - layout was perfect for my family of 5. The crew were quite the duo, complimented each other quite well! Captain is everything you want in a Captain. You can see the joy in his eyes when his guests are enjoying his itinerary- which was perfectly designed to experience the best of the BVI. Chef made us comfortable and kept delighting us with her meals. So sweet and friendly.

  Exceeded All Expectations

  There is nothing quite like setting high expectations and STILL having them exceeded EXPONENTIALLY! The vessel was top-notch, the weather was (mostly) lovely, the sights and destinations were awe-inspiring, and most of all the captain/crew team were amazing! Everything was timely, safe, comfortable and fun, and the food was not only delicious but also presented like any high-end TV show would want!

  Spectacular

  You both made what we knew would be a trip of a lifetime even more spectacular!!! What incredible memories we made. Captain, you are an amazing captain and Chef you are an exquisite chef! The food was (3 meals a day plus snack!) was unbelievable! I particularly loved the way you both interacted with my grandsons and all of us! We had so much fun!! You both set the bar really high. We started this wonderful trip as a family of 7 and are leaving as a family of 9! All my love to you both!!! This trip was as a 15 on the scale of 1-10!!

  The Greatest Vacations Any of us Have Ever Experienced

  Everyone of us in our group are seasoned travelers and have had the good fortune to experience some pretty spectacular vacations around the world. So I’ll just cut to the chase and say that this was one of the greatest vacations any of us have ever experienced. Everything exceeded our expectations starting with our fantastic Captain and Chef extraordinaire. Two absolutely delightful people. Captain handled OCEANA, our Bali 48 catamaran, with ease, confidence and professionalism. It was clear almost immediately that he was an expert yachtsman and that we were in very capable hands. He worked with us prior to our charter to put together the best possible float plan. He blended many beautiful and tranquil locations with a few livelier spots like the Soggy Dollar Bar, Saba Rock and the Bitter End and the Wonky Dog on Anegada for the best lobster dinner I've ever had. I also enjoyed some of the best snorkeling of my life when we stopped at George Dog for the afternoon. Four of us had been to the BVI twice before, bare-boating both of those trips. However, after experiencing a BVI charter with a captain and a chef we would be hard pressed to do it any other way. It allowed us to fully relax and enjoy a stress free week on the water. There were countless highlights on our trip but the first one that came to mind for me was the cuisine. Chef far exceeded our expectations. Every meal, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, was five star, carefully and thoughtfully planned out. She always took the time to explain every meal, the region that inspired each dish and the various ingredients she used. In my lifetime I have never had so many excellent meals back to back for nine days straight. The crew also discerned quickly our personal tastes for both food and drinks....always had creative alternatives available just in case there was a food item one of us didn’t care for and knew exactly the right moment to hand you the perfect cappuccino, cocktail or glass of vino. They always kept OCEANA clean and organized including our bedrooms and bathrooms. Yeah, they spoiled us big time.

  Trip of a Lifetime

  This was a bucket list trip and delivered in every way. The crew made the trip perfect in every way the route was planned exceptionally so we could experience the best of the BVI Chef's wonderful menus and hospitality made us all satisfied and welcome. They also were incredibly well as a team. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much for the trip of a lifetime.

  Amazing Week

  Words cannot describe how amazing our week was. The crew were just the best!! Every day was perfect and all of our meals/snacks were amazing. You guys were so awesome. Not the first time we’ve done a cat charter but definitely the best! Boat was great! Captain was patient and dealt with our requests easily. He was cordial, intuitive and informative. Chef was the best chef ever! Every meal she made was fantastic, creative and better than any meal we could have had on any of the islands!

  Already Planning Return Trip

  How do you describe perfect and extraordinary? - Our week on Oceana with the two of you. You are neat and tidy - Please come visit us in Montana. This is a genuine invitation!!! God truly blessed us with the opportunity for this trip, celebrating anniversaries, experiencing the beautiful BVI's, but especially the change in crew! Chef your delicious meals day after day truly spoiled us - each day we were excited to discover what you lovingly prepared - you are an artist in the kitchen! Your beautiful smile and sunny personality lightened every day. Captain, we always felt safe with you as our captain. Your skills showed us everything you did we knew without a doubt that you could handle any situation that might arise. You are a joy to be around and a gracious host. We won the lottery with you for our captain. We are already planning our next trip back wiht a grandaughter. BVI 2023 - memories that will last a lifetime!

  Amazing Experience

  It is hard to put into words what an amazing experience this has been. Truly a once in a lifetime experience enjoying some of the most beautiful of God's creations on an outstanding boat, with the best crew we could have every imagined. We are so impressed with how talented and professional you have both been throughout the entire week. The two of you and all your hard work added sooo much to our vacation. We are so grateful that we got to spend this time together making such wonderful memories that we can cherish for years to come. We pray that God richly blesses you in all your future endeavors and adventures.
