• Crew

  CAPTAIN MICHAEL

  Michael was born and raised in Texas and grew up loving the outdoors with his dad taking him on countless hiking, canoeing, and camping adventures. He graduated from TCU with a Master’s in Accounting and a Bachelor’s in Finance and worked in Oil & Gas in Houston. After working in the corporate world for five years, he decided to make a change and enjoy the outdoors through sailing as a career! He fell in love with sailing while in the BVIs and Southern Caribbean and then completed his RYA Yachtmaster in the UK in 2018. He started off his sailing career in the Mediterranean and now calls the Caribbean home. When away from sailing he is exploring new parts of the world, meeting new people, and eating as many new cuisines he can find!
  Michael has his RYA 200-hour Yoga Certification and is happy to add Yoga and Meditation to the charter experience.

  CHEF/MATE CASEY

  Born and raised in Florida, Casey has always been happiest when on the water. After specializing in hospitality and event management at the University of Florida, she worked at luxury, all-inclusive golf resorts before transitioning into residential real estate. After years of the work grind, she decided an adventure awaited her. She left behind the “norm ” and caught the travel bug-bad! Before deciding to call the Caribbean home, she was a nomad traveling the world experiencing the kindness of strangers, new cultures, and food!

  She is a foodie through and through and her passion for food began at a young age always cooking and baking with her mom in the kitchen. She loves incorporating all different cuisines and focuses on cooking fresh and healthy dishes incorporating local delicacies with the freshest produce. She has been a yacht chef and hostess in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Last year she attended Ashburton Culinary School Yacht Chef Program in England to hone her skills!

  While onboard with Michael and Casey, guests will be encouraged to visit the “must see’s” but also to get off the grid and experience the beauty and nature that the Virgin Islands have to offer. They are excited to continue providing unforgettable experiences around these beautiful islands. They also love helping the guests capture priceless moments with their Drone, DSLR, GoPro, and Polaroid Camera.

  STEWARDESS NICOLE

  Born and raised in Miami, Nicole is one of the many natives who will tell you that South Florida is more Caribbean than American. She has loved the water since birth, and she would never forgive herself for passing up any water sports opportunity. After finishing up two degrees, she took herself to Europe and finished her Master’s, discovered a love of mountains, and a complete devotion to the outdoors. In the last decade, Nicole’s independent adventures have led her around the world, across six continents, in a wide variety of service-oriented jobs. She has returned to the Caribbean bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and full of nostalgia. She is confident that her exposure to multiple cultures, etiquettes, and cocktails has equipped her with the skills required to help facilitate the warmest hospitality experience possible.

  DECKHAND/MATE JOSH

  Growing up in rural Ireland, Josh’s love for the outdoors was ingrained in him throughout his childhood. His first time sailing was when his father surprised him and his siblings with a sailing holiday, instead of a theme park, much to their disappointment. With five people crammed onto a 28ft yacht, Josh, who was 7 and the youngest, slept on the floor, over a step. He’s loved sailing ever since. At 18, he began to work on sail yachts which has taken him all around the globe, from Europe to New Zealand and almost everywhere in between. With his RYA Yachtmaster, Padi Divemaster, and a love for anything outdoors – from the highest mountains to the deepest oceans – you can be sure Josh will make your sailing holiday as adventurous as you please.

  Beautiful Places On The Water

  It feels just like yesterday we stepped onto this beautiful yacht, but also in such a short period of time we've had so many experiences and been introduced to so many beautiful places and the water! Thank you for making our first charter the most amazing experience we could have hoped for, including our night-time adventure which now has Jay believing he's a full-time captain from here on out! Thank you for getting us to all our destinations safe, and for the history lesson on the islands along the way, and for putting up with Jay's never ending questions about boating & the seas! Be ready for next year, Jay will be coming aboard with a year of boating research under his belt after this adventure! Chef, every meal was beyond beautiful! We know your cuisine was magic when the life jackets got too snug at the end of the trip. Stew, you always knew what we needed without us knowing it! Your little touches and attention were so sweet and made us feel like royalty. Thank you for keeping our pale Canadien skin protected at all times!

  Chef- You are an artist with food! Simply Amazing! We all had too many favorites and could not agree on the winning dish. Thank you for being so accommodating with so many special requests! You have the best people skills that i've seen in hospitality! You are truly gifted and go the extra mile every time! Your happiness is infectious; you truly enjoy every day and you make this job look like fun!! Gratitude comes easy to you and it shows! Captain - I'm so glad that you traded in Finance for this amazing profession. Your peace and tranquility is a very important quality in this business! Thank you for introducing scuba to my family. I will be forever grateful! To the owners - Thank you for sharing this amazing vessel! As guests, we only see the top 1/3 of the iceberg and know how much work it is to create Aeolus!   Memories Made

  Review from crews previous yacht. Thank you both for being such kind and thoughtful vacation planners, our trip was wonderful. We made a lot of memories together and are grateful for everything you did to make it happen! Here are a few of our favorite memories: Gumption and all he entails: entrepreneur, DJ, Tour Guide, Lemur expert, photographer, and promoter! Billy Ocean and Casey's bellowing laughs on Murder Mystery Night. Mom and her lost and found jewelry and hat nearly being blown to Puerto Rico. Of course we will always miss and remember the delicious food. Thanks for being so flexible with us; it's going to be a sad farewell at the end of this vacation. We wish you both well in your next adventure and hope to see you on the islands next season!

  Everything Was Perfect!

Everything was perfect, from the crew greeting us warmly at the dock, & welcoming us with drinks and lunch, to the final gorgeous sunset at Caneel Bay. All of our group agreed that Conch Island was the Highlight of the trip, with the Baths being a close second. We missed being able to have a campfire, but playing Liquid Zen Trivia instead was so much fun (especially since mine and Bob's team won!). Your gracious hospitality made everything so special for us ~ the cooking was fabulous, and the crew’s patience with us less experienced seamen was much appreciated!   Absolutely Incredible!

Let me make this simple for everyone reading: the week we spent aboard Liquid Zen was one of the very best, most beautiful, most delicious, most relaxing weeks of our lives. In fact, we are fairly certain that we have never taken a vacation that we enjoyed as much as we enjoyed this vacation. The reason for that, I think, is that normally, when you go on vacation - even if it's a really nice vacation to a really beautiful destination - you still need your executive functions to figure out where you're going to eat and to make reservations and to navigate strange places and to manage the various wants and needs of your guests, etc., etc., etc. But on Liquid Zen, the crew do all of that for you. They *ARE* your executive functions! That leaves you and your guests in the truly unique position of being able to fully, unapologetically, and completely enjoy the extraordinary beauty of the islands, the consistently stunning weather, the expert afternoon cocktails, and the delectable dishes, all from the comfort of this amazing catamaran. Honestly, the day we disembarked from Liquid Zen, we vowed to come back. Today, one year later, we board again for our second journey, and we absolutely cannot wait.
