• Crew

  CAPTAIN FRANSISCO

  Francisco was born in a sailing family, having therefore his first sailing experience as a baby. This experience of course got engraved in his mind for the rest of his life. Since this family boat was sold when Francisco was around 12 years old, he didn’t sail again until he got back on a boat as a result of starting to dive in Brazil after highschool. Staying in Brazil until achieving his PADI Instructor diploma, he remembered that boats were his real passion, and decided to start his formation, completing his first sailing course in 2013. After this course, and some experience, he started teaching other people the art of sailing in the challenging Rio de La Plata, and taking boats across the river from Buenos Aires to Uruguay; starting in 2018 the project of building an ocean sailboat, in order to go out to high seas. After 3 years of hard work, he took this sailboat from Argentina to Morocco and back, in a voyage of more than 20,000Nm and two Atlantic crossings. Pursuing a career as professional captain during this voyage, he completed various courses and started working in the Industry.
  As the sailboat construction started, Francisco met Julieta, and found true love and companionship. When the boat was ready to go out to sea in 2021, Julieta was confident to join and stayed the whole voyage aboard; learning about sailing, and taking her culinary knowledge and experience to boats. Looking to learn local food everywhere she travels.

  CHEF JULIETA

  Julieta has a passion for cooking and discovering foods, flavours and spices; using her preferred ingredient for food: Love. As currently studying Nutrition, she also likes to blend taste with health, and guests are always amazed how a proper nutrition makes them feel better in a very short time; how they can have tasty dishes, and also incorporate proper nourishment.
  Julieta is passionate about exercise, yoga and acrobatics, she is always looking forward to joining guests for a healthy lifestyle!

  outstanding

  Our group of four couples just finished six nights aboard the pristine Liquid Zen. The boat is new with great amenities: air conditioning, carpet in the bedrooms, comfy beds with plenty of pillows, heavy and light covers, a separate shower and toilet, fast dinghy, -wow! I grew up bareboating and this boat is a palace!
  The captain is super easygoing. He is excellent with safety, navigation, and cleanliness and stays even keel and calm at all times. He was great at taking us snorkeling, diving, and to and from shore as well. Truly the Zen of Liquid Zen. With Chef also having her captain's license, you are always in the best of hands. The cooking and hospitality are top-notch. Though she is younger than almost all of our children, we called Chef "Mom" because she was so good at keeping track of us and attending to our every whim.
  A good boat is important but likely most important is the crew. They can make or break a trip and these two made our trip outstanding. I cannot recommend them highly enough. You will not be disappointed.

  Amazing

  In short, it was overall an amazing trip. The crew could not have been better for us. They were very professional, responsible, and just a pleasure to be with on our trip. The boat was great and just as advertised and the food was off the charts delicious. Everything we had asked for was onboard and plentiful and Captain even got me to a pharmacy for antibiotics after I got a tooth infection. Everyone in our group had a fantastic time and will remember this trip for life.
  We would highly recommend the boat and of course, this crew to anyone wanting to take this trip.

All of our group agreed that Conch Island was the Highlight of the trip, with the Baths being a close second. We missed being able to have a campfire, but playing Liquid Zen Trivia instead was so much fun (especially since mine and Bob's team won!). Your gracious hospitality made everything so special for us ~ the cooking was fabulous, and the crew’s patience with us less experienced seamen was much appreciated! I will wear my title of "Mrs. Phelps" proudly :)" - The Rickerts

  Memories Made

  Thank you both for being such kind and thoughtful vacation planners, our trip was wonderful. We made a lot of memories together and are grateful for everything you did to make it happen! Here are a few of our favorite memories: Gumption and all he entails: entrepreneur, DJ, Tour Guide, Lemur expert, photographer, and promoter! Billy Ocean and Casey's bellowing laughs on Murder Mystery Night. Mom and her lost and found jewelry and hat nearly being blown to Puerto Rico. Of course we will always miss and remember the delicious food. Thanks for being so flexible with us; it's going to be a sad farewell at the end of this vacation. We wish you both well in your next adventure and hope to see you on the islands next season!

  Exceed Expectations!

  After our last charter, I think we all wondered if it was possible to match that experience...you guys exceeded it!! This was an amazing week with you both and it was so needed after a crazy, challenging few years. The food and service was perfect - we'll all be thinking of you when we're back in the gym.   Absolutely Incredible!

  Let me make this simple for everyone reading: the week we spent aboard Liquid Zen was one of the very best, most beautiful, most delicious, most relaxing weeks of our lives. In fact, we are fairly certain that we have never taken a vacation that we enjoyed as much as we enjoyed this vacation. The reason for that, I think, is that normally, when you go on vacation - even if it's a really nice vacation to a really beautiful destination - you still need your executive functions to figure out where you're going to eat and to make reservations and to navigate strange places and to manage the various wants and needs of your guests, etc., etc., etc. But on Liquid Zen, the crew do all of that for you. They *ARE* your executive functions! That leaves you and your guests in the truly unique position of being able to fully, unapologetically, and completely enjoy the extraordinary beauty of the islands, the consistently stunning weather, the expert afternoon cocktails, and the delectable dishes, all from the comfort of this amazing catamaran. Honestly, the day we disembarked from Liquid Zen, we vowed to come back. Today, one year later, we board again for our second journey, and we absolutely cannot wait.
