Epic Favorites from The East Mediterranean Charter Yacht Show

Team Epic attended the East Mediterranean Charter Yacht show in Poros, Greece at the end of April.
This Greece Charter Yacht Show was such a valuable platform; It enabled us to familiarize ourselves with the yachts and build relationships with the captains and crews. Seeing first hand the yacht layouts, their features, amenities and their over all condition means we can provide you with accurate and detailed information and recommend our preferred yachts to you.
We met with Central Agents and other organisations within the yachting industry to enable us to provide you with additional information for personalized charter options.

The crew were so welcoming and friendly. From the moment we stepped onboard I knew that Theo, George, Panagiotis and Karanicolas are a great team. This crew have been working together for the past 3 years and it truly showed by the way they all got along so well. Karanicolas showed us around the yacht and Chef George tempted us with his amazing appetisers he produced. The 4 of them were my stand out favourite crew of the show. They were an absolute joy to chat to and they kept the yacht immaculate and very well maintained.

I was lucky enough to have lunch onboard which was incredible. Chef Savvas has worked in many Michelin-star restaurants and this was very evident with the incredible dishes he produced for us. The menus and photos are below.

Captain Artemis, along with his team of Chef Savvas , Chief Stewardess Mani, Deckhand/Stewardess Maria and Deckhand Vassilis were all so very professional. Lunch time was a pleasure with the high end service you would expect on a catamaran of this size. This crew are true to the name and do go Above and Beyond for their guests. I had lunch onboard produced by chef Konstantinos and served by Steward Yiannis. It was a delicious plate of tabouli with lots of fresh herbs and a beetroot ceviche for a starter. This was followed by a pearl couscous with beef and xygalo (cheese). Dessert was frozen chocolate biscuit with hazelnut and creme anglaise. It all tasted incredible. Captain John kept us entertained telling us about being on Below Deck that will be aired in February – watch this space!

The yacht was immaculate throughout. These 3 young crew do a brilliant job and have no doubt you will fall in love with them on your Epic Yacht Charter in Greece.

Plus Expenses

Plus Expenses or APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance)

The charter rate shown includes the use of the charter yacht, professional crew and onboard equipment.

All other daily expenses, that are not included in the base rate, will be covered with an Advanced Provisioning Payment (APA). This is collected before the charter commences.

APA expenses include fuel for both the yacht and tender, provisions, dockage, moorings, airport transfers, cruising permits and taxes, scuba diving and onshore excursions.

The APA payment is typically 20%-25% of the base charter rate for sailing yachts and 30%-35% for motor yachts. Your captain will purchase provisions, taxes, fuel etc for the charter using the APA and will keep all receipts along with a running log of expenses. This can be viewed at any time during your charter.

Any APA that has not been spent will be returned to you at the end of the charter. If during the charter, expenses exceed the APA, additional funds will need to be submitted. Your captain will update and advise you if any further payment is required. This will need to be paid before you disembark.

Crew Gratuity is separate and is typically 15%-20% of the charter rate. This should be given to your captain at the end of your charter.

Incredible

We all had the most incredible time onboard with you! All the crew were just amazing you were always so kind and caring for each one of us! Captains suggestions of ports were perfect and we feel like we have all fallen in love with the real Greece! Was fabulous taking us on little trips to explore caves along the shore in the rib! Everywhere was a real adventure – we are all so sad to be leaving you! Good luck to all of you and we will be sure to cross paths again someday!
